First Impressions

My first impressions of Holden resemble everyone else's, as I'm sure. He appears to be a rebellious, apathetic, teenage boy. However, he appears to also be highly intelligent. He is captain of the fencing team, which hints at immense strategic skill and cunning. The way he holds himself appears rather esteemed and "cool", even though he hardly could care about anything going on around him. These are my first impressions of the main character of Catcher In The Rye.
